2020 Learning to Code with Scratch Virtual Summer Camp

This summer is going to look much different. I know many summer camps have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I want to offer an opportunity for a virtual camp for students entering grades 3-8.

This summer's camp will be Learning to Code with Scratch. Scratch is a free online programming language used to teach students to code. Students will learn basic computer science principles while creating their own programs in Scratch.

Students will join our instructor each day for an hour of live video. Then the student will have some activities to complete before the next day's video. There will be extra resources to help along the way.

WHO: Students entering grades 3 and up
WHEN: June 29, 2020 to July 3, 2020 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
WHERE: This camp is virtual.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY IS REQUIRED: Each student will need a desktop, laptop, or Chromebook. (Tablets and smart phones will work, but are not the best solution for programming in Scratch.) Students will also need reliable internet service for both Scratch and the live video for each session.
COST: $25

To start the registration, please complete the form below. You will be directed to finish the registration by paying the camp fee.
